Terms of use

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These terms govern the ardia.academy site and the use of the Ardia platform, operated by DataSmart Technology. On a school's site, that school's own terms apply as well.

Accounts

Accounts are created by the school (or by Ardia for a school's administrators). Keep your sign-in codes to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Administrators must use the second sign-in step.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ardia to break the law, to post content that harms others, to try to reach another school's data or another person's account, to copy the site with automated tools, to send malicious code, or to overload the service.

Schools' content and data

A school's content and data belong to that school. It allows Ardia to host and display them only to provide the service. The school is responsible for what it publishes and for having the right to publish it.

Payments

Payments to a school (donations, tuition, courses) go directly to that school's Stripe account. The school is responsible for its refunds and receipts. What a school pays Ardia is set out in its agreement with Ardia.

Availability

We work to keep Ardia available and safe, but we cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or a provider's outage.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ardia is not liable for indirect damages, or for what a school or a user publishes. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumers have under Québec law.

Leaving Ardia

A school can stop using Ardia at any time. It can get its data back, and the transfer code of a domain bought through Ardia. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: admin@datasmart.agency.
